Built like the kitchens you'll run

Seven professional-grade kitchens, two campuses in the heart of Lucerne, a home, three daily meals — everything on one invoice, so students live focused.

Facilities

Seven professional kitchens

7 professional-grade kitchens across three Lucerne locations cover every stage of a chef's craft.

Production kitchens

Full-scale brigade kitchens — including the City Campus kitchen that cooks daily for the whole student body. Real volume, real service pressure.

Application kitchens

An individual workstation for every student, with instructor demos relayed to overhead screens. You don't watch cooking; you cook.

The Grand Hall

Location

Two campuses in the heart of Lucerne

Lucerne is a working hospitality capital — and both BHMS campuses sit in the centre of it, minutes on foot from the old town and the main station.

  • City Campus — Gütschstrasse 2–6. Classrooms, a production kitchen, the student restaurant serving three meals a day, and student residences with balcony and kitchenette in every room.
  • Lakeside Campus — Löwenstrasse 16. Inside the historic Union Hotel, an early-20th-century grand hotel reborn as a culinary campus: professional kitchens, auditorium, upscale student housing, and the Grand Hall fine-dining restaurant — minutes from the lake and the station.

Zurich Airport is around 40 minutes away — BHMS collects every new student on first arrival, included in the fee.

Student life

After service, the city is yours

Campus life runs well past the last pass: the student-run Lakeside Bar, lounges on both campuses, cooking competitions and world-cuisine nights, ski and city excursions, and an inter-university sports tournament.

And when the semester ends, the next one starts with a salary — every programme year includes a guaranteed paid internship.
