BHMS culinary fees for 2027 run from CHF 40'200 (about US$48,600) for the Diploma year to CHF 42'200 (about US$51,100) for the final bachelor year, all-inclusive: one invoice covering tuition, housing, meals and insurance. Dollar figures at the October 2026 rate.

All-inclusive
One fee. Everything included.
- Home. Shared Standard apartment at the Lakeside Campus (2 beds, no kitchen), linens and towels provided and laundered weekly. Upgrades, as a surcharge: Shared Superior at the City Campus (3–4 beds, with kitchen) CHF 1'200 · Studio Standard, Lakeside CHF 4'900 · Studio Superior, City Campus CHF 7'900. A CHF 1'500 refundable room deposit is required.
- Food. Three meals a day on weekdays at the City Campus Restaurant, brunch and dinner on weekends and holidays at Lakeside — dietary needs covered at no extra cost.
- Health. Mandatory health & medical insurance, with cover up to CHF 1'000'000 per illness.
- Practicalities. The internship placement service, visa, B-permit and local tax, e-campus and internet (Wi-Fi everywhere), and complimentary pickup at Zurich Airport on first arrival.
- Kitchen kit. Knife set and uniforms included on the culinary programmes (the MSc does not include them) — and the school launders your whites at no extra cost.

The three paid internships inside the bachelor return a guaranteed gross minimum of CHF 43'000+ (all-Swiss placements) — earning back more than a third of the three-year investment before graduation day.
In countryside and resort placements where the employer provides room and board, students typically keep around CHF 1'500 a month — up to ~CHF 27'000 saved across the degree. At most culinary schools abroad, work placements are short and unpaid. In Swiss hospitality, paid internships are the law.

How much does culinary school at BHMS cost?
The diploma year is CHF 40'200 all-inclusive; the full three-year bachelor totals about CHF 123'600. Shorter routes exist too: the two-week Summer Camp (11 – 24 July 2027) is CHF 3'900 and the 10-week Certificate is CHF 23'025. Every figure covers tuition, accommodation, meals, insurance and more in one invoice — and the bachelor is offset by CHF 43'000+ in guaranteed gross internship earnings.
What exactly is included in the fee?
Tuition, a shared 2-bed apartment at the Lakeside Campus, meals (three a day on weekdays, brunch and dinner on weekends) and the operating costs: mandatory health and medical insurance, the internship placement service, visa, B-permit and local tax, e-campus and internet, and complimentary airport pickup for new students. The culinary programmes also include uniforms and a knife set; the MSc does not. Room upgrades are a surcharge from CHF 1'200, and a CHF 1'500 refundable room deposit is required. Families should budget roughly CHF 500 per month for personal expenses such as laundry, phone and local travel.
Are there discounts?
Early payment earns a CHF 1'000 discount, refer-a-friend is worth up to CHF 2'000, the full CHF 3'900 Summer Camp fee is credited towards first-year tuition of an eligible BHMS Bachelor if you enrol within two years, and Swiss nationals and C-permit holders receive 30% off.
